A WISE INVESTOR
1 Timothy 6:6-10, 17-19
I - The right PRIORITIES {vs 6}
-It is better to live Godly and be content than to strive for material possessions
-Many try to fill voids in their lives with material things
II - The right PERSPECTIVE {vv 7-10}
-Realize that you came into the world with nothing and you will leave the same way
-We should be content with the basic needs, food and clothing
-The world paints the picture that to be happy you need more and more material possessions
-With great wealth comes great temptation
-The love of money is the root of all evil
III - Follows the right PROCEDURE {vv 17-19}
-If you have great wealth, don't be haughty or high-minded
-Trust in the Lord and not in riches
-Money is surrounded with uncertainty
-To those who God has blessed with material wealth:
-Do good works
-Be ready to distribute
-Be willing to communicate
-NOBODY is saved by their works or wealth
-To those who are saved, if you use your money for God's glory, you lay up for yourselves a good foundation in Heaven
