THE HARLOT'S HOUSE
Joshua 2:1-21


I. The CASTAWAY {vs 1} 
God's grace finds the worst of sinners! (Paul - chiefest of sinners)
Geographically & Morally on the EDGE of society
{Rom 5:20} "Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound."

II. The CRISIS (fear) {vv 9, 11} 
She greatly feared the coming destruction of Jericho!
She feared God, and the armies of God
{Luke 23:40} ".dost not thou fear God."
{Rev 14:7} "Fear God . for the hour of his judgment is come."

III. The CONFESSION {vv 9, 11} 
She confessed her fear of God, her belief in God, and her FAITH in God
{Heb 11:31} "By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace."
{Rom 10:10} "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

IV. The CLEMENCY (mercy) {vv 12-13} 
If we have not obtained the mercy of God . we NEED to obtain it! {1Pet 2:10}
{Titus 3:5} "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us ."
"God, who is rich in mercy.."

V. The CHANGE {Matt 1:5}
Harlotry to Honor
Prostitution to Princesses
Castaway to Christ family!
{1 John 3:1-2}
{Gal 3:26} "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."
{Rom 8:14-17}

VI. The CONCERN {vv 12-13} 
Her first concern after herself was her FAMILY!
{Acts 16:30-34}
Cornelius - his house
