ARE YOU SPIRITUAL OR CARNAL?
1 Corinthians 3:1-3


I do not use “Carnal Christian” as an excuse for false professors. 
I am well aware of the tendency to use this excuse for the tens of thousands of false professors of salvation. 

We here at BHBC are very careful and take our time dealing with the lost, and strive for honest, real professions, even if that means, “few that be saved”.

Nevertheless, Paul is here dealing with Christians, when he says, “For ye are yet carnal…” 

The Christian is in a daily battle with the flesh. 
This message is to those believers who seem to be giving up in the battle against the flesh, or to those who may not realize they are losing the battle!


5 SIGNS of CARNALITY:


I - YOU ARE NOT SPIRITUAL 
“And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual…”

II - YOU ACT LIKE A BABY 
“… even as unto babes in Christ.”

III - YOU CAN’T TAKE THE WORD 
“I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.”

IV - YOU DO WORKS OF THE FLESH 
“…there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions…”

V - YOU WALK LIKE THE WORLD 
“…and walk as men?”
