THE MAN GOD CHOOSE TO RAISE HIS SON

So very little is known about Joseph. 
What we do know is a good example to the men of our day.


I - TAXPAYER {Luke 2:1-5} 
(this automatically puts him in with the "common man")


II - PURE {Matt. 1:18} 
(even though they were "in love" and espoused to be married)


III - JUST {Matt. 1:19} 
(a man of OVERALL integrity)


IV - SENSITIVE {Matt. 1:19} 
(not a word we like to apply to men - but the point is that he did not have to be CRUEL to prove his manhood)


V - LEVEL-HEADED {Matt. 1:20} 
(did not "react" to situations, but took the time to "think" about what should be done)


VI - SPIRITUAL {Matt. 1:20, 2:13} 
(a man who was in touch with his God)


VII - OBEDIENT {Matt. 1:24,25; 2:13,14} 
(a man that obeyed the instructions of his God)
