1 - A PROMISED BLESSING
“…the Lord thinketh upon me…”2 - A PRACTICAL BLESSING-He did not say I hope the Lord thinks upon me.
-The Lord does think upon us!
-Our poverty & need does not offend him or turn him away from us.
-1 Peter 5:7; Luke 12:6-7
“…I am poor and needy…”3 - A PRECIOUS BLESSING-The Lord thinks upon us in connection to our poverty & need.
-Many times gifts are given that are not practical. We can’t use them.
-But here the Lord gives attention to the need.
-Philippians 4:19; 2 Corinthians 9:8-11; Luke 12:30-33
“…thou art my help and my deliverer…”4 - A PRESENT BLESSING-What a precious thought – that Almighty God is there to help & deliver insignificant me!
-Isaiah 50:7-9; Hebrews 13:5-6
“…make no tarrying, O my God.”-Our Lord is a present help in a time of trouble. So says David in Psalm 46:1-3
-1 Kings 18:25-39
-But, you say, I have cried and cried and the Lord has not heard me.
-Maybe your sin is blocking the help – Isaiah 59:1-2
-Maybe the Lord wants you to stay like you are – 2 Corinthians 12:8-9
-Maybe the Lord has a different timetable then you and me – John 11:1-6, 17-21, 32, 37-45
