THE LORD OF THE RINGS
(a marriage sermon)
Malachi 2:11-17

The problem with marriages today is that the Lord is not the Lord of the rings
And did not he make one? {Mal. 2:14-15}

A good marriage...


I - MUST HAVE THE RIGHT START {Mal. 2:11,12} 
· {2 Cor. 6:14-15} - unequally yoked
· many yoke for the wrong reasons!


II - MUST REMAIN STEADFAST {Mal. 2:14,15} 
· Lord WAS witness to the vows & IS witness to the marriage
· He sees how you treat one another.
· "God is witness between me and thee . . ." (several times in Scripture)
· Need to remain steadfast, not only for the marriage, but for the children. (seek a godly seed)

· Every good thing you do is a deposit
· Every bad thing is a withdrawl


III - MUST RESIST SEPARATION {Mal. 2:16} 
·God hates divorce
