THE LORD'S PRAYER
Matthew 6:9-13 & Luke 11:2-4


I - Open with RECOGNITION of who God is {vs 9} 
-He is over you
A - In POSITION {"Our Father"}
B - In POWER {"Which art in heaven"}
C - In PREEMINENCE {"Hallowed be thy name"}


II - A request for His RETURN {vs 10} 
-Express a desire to see Him


III - A request for our daily NEEDS {vs 11, 25-34} 
-Meant to be carried out daily
-Daily prayer brings daily provision which brings daily peace


IV - REPENTANCE {vs 12; Luke 11:1, 4} 
-We sin daily
-We need to keep a "short account" with God and confess and repent of those sins before a mountain of sin has accumulated


V - REINFORCEMENT {vs 13; 1 Cor 10:13} 
-The PATH - stay in the right path and He will not lead you into temptation
-The PLAN - If you face temptation, He will provide a way of escape


VI - Close with RECOGNITION of who God is {vs 13} 
-His POSSESSION and our POSITION - "Thine is the kingdom", We are subjects
-His POWER and GLORY
