(v. 20) The people wanted Jesus to leave (v. 17), so He left Decopolis. But He did not leave without a witness. This man witnessed to all of Decapolis what Jesus had done for him.
About a year later Jesus returned to Decapolis (Mark 7:31). What a difference! Multitudes gathered unto Christ. Because they would not leave Jesus fed the four thousand in the Decopolis (Mark 8:1-10).
What caused the change in the people of Decapolis from not wanting Christ to now flocking to Him? The only answer I can think of is the impact of the testimony of the man whom Jesus saved!
