JESUS AT THE GARDEN TOMB
Matthew 28:1-9

I - THE PERSONS THAT LOVE THE LORD JESUS (1)

"In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre."

II - THE POWER OF GOD (2)

"And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it."

III - THE PERSONNEL FROM HEAVEN (2-3)

"for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow"

VII - THE PROCLAMATION OF THE GOOD NEWS (7)

"And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you."

VIII - THE PERFORMING SAINTS (8)

"And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word."

IX - THE PROOF OF THE RESURRECTION (9)

"And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him."
They saw the resurrected Lord. But it was not these women only; Jesus made other appearances to show that He was alive.
1. Mary Magdalene (Mark 16:9-11; John 20:11);
2. The other women who were returning from the tomb (Matthew 28:1-10);
3. Peter, the apostle (Luke 24:34; 1 Corinthians 15:5);
4. The two disciples going to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-32);
5. The eleven apostles as they sat at meat (Mark 16:14);
6. The apostles the second time (John 20:26-29);
7. Seven disciples at the sea of Tiberius (John 21:1);
8. The eleven disciples in a mountain in Galilee (Matthew 28:16);
9. Five hundred brethren at one time (1 Corinthians 15:6);
10. James (1 Corinthians 15:7);
11. And all the apostles at the ascension (Luke 24:50-52; Acts 1:1-12
