Text: Prov. 24:15-16

1 - The wicked are laying wait for the just

-Not only the wicked, but also the Wicked One
-Potiphar’s wife (Gen. 39:7-12)
-Psa. 57:4-6
-1 Peter 5:8

-The home is supposed to be the “safe & happy” place! …a place of “shelter & rest”!
-But we see that our enemies attack even here – no place is sacred where the enemy will not follow.
-We need to guard our homes!!! (Friends, TV, radio, Internet, books, magazines, etc…)
-Not only our homes – but our church home!

-Into sin, into a trap, away from the Lord,
-Fall from his promises, resolve, and intentions
-We are even told to “take heed” (1 Cor. 10:12)
-The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak (Matt. 26:41)

-The wicked man stays down there while the just man gets back up on his feet.
-The good news is that when a just man falls – he does not loose his salvation – he does not have to get saved again – he just has to GET UP! (Ps. 37:23-24)
-As I said last week… get back up immediately! You would not fall off a bike or ladder or trip and fall in your living room and STAY ON THE GROUND OR THE FLOOR. You would not make plans to get up next week or next month.
-Notice… you will fall many times over – even more than 7 times… (Luke 17:4 & Matt. 18:21-22)
-A Christian may also fall into troubles & trials – but he recovers from them as well.
