THE CONTRAST BETWEEN A GODLY MAN AND A WICKED FAMILY
Matthew 14:1-11


I - The FAITHFULNESS of John the Baptist 
-His message was repentance {vs 4, 3:4-8}
-He was not "politically correct"
-His message did not change despite the consequences of preaching it


II - The SHAMELESSNESS of Salome {vv 6-8} 
-She danced and dressed shamelessly
-She knew what she was doing
-Many women today have no shame


III - The REVENGEFULNESS of Herodias {Mark 6:17-24} 
-She did not like the preacher exposing her sin
-Lives can be ruined because of vindictive people


IV - The WEAKNESS of Herod 
-SUPERSTITIOUS {vs 2}
-UNFAITHFUL {vs 4}
-AFRAID {of Herodias (vs 3), of the multitude (vs 5), of what his friends would think of him (vs 9)}
-MORALLY WEAK {vs 6}
