-There is no fear of God today, He is mocked

-Most don't realize that every sin is against God

3 - HE PREACHED THE GRAVITY OF THE CONDEMNATION {vs 40}

-Most people don't realize the seriousness of the condemnation they are in

4 - HE PREACHED THE SINLESSNESS OF JESUS {vs 41}

-Hebrews 7:22-26
-Judas knew {Matthew 27:4}, Pilate knew {Matthew 27:24}, Pilate's wife knew {Matthew 27:19}, The centurion knew {Matthew 27:54}

5 - HE PREACHED THAT SALVATION IS IN CHRIST ALONE {vs 42}

-This thief recognized Jesus as Lord and that eternity was at stake
